Reflective statement

So how did was the project... honestly.. I could of done so much better than what I did. I feel like I lost interest in the project very quickly. I found it hard to get the motivation I needed. I don't know if this is due to my personal problems or problems with the project overall, might have been both. I know if I had started the right after the pitch, I would of have more than what I had.

I would like to say though that changing/ modelling realistic blend shapes, and make multiples, did take its time, as I did have to try and keep them looking as realistic as possible. I didn't feel that I showed this well. But I also didn't want to show 20 slides of different models that have been edited.

The one thing to take away is that both Phil and Alan are hopefully willing to help me overcome my problems and succeed in future projects.

I would also like to set myself a challenge over the summer break. which would to be to build a character or something, as I feel like I missed o…

Texture

Image
So I have created a shader for my model

First I played around with a getting the right shader that I wanted. I had to create the shader first in Photoshop and then load in. Decided to go for this white and grey look.

Then applied it to my model.

Model update! Rigg

Image
So I have created a rig for my model, as I would like it to be in position or be able to pose. I have followed the human skeleton structure to be able to get the most realistic as possible rig for the moment, and have also included a ribbon spine. Still need to add in ik's and controls.

As I have already done the blend shapes, I don't know if I will be able to attach it successfully to the model. So lesson learnt

Switches to come!

Uv and Texture map

Image
As I'm planning to have them be like the marble statures, I got to create a texture for this.  So I've done the uv's ready for that, and checked to see if when using the blend shape editor , that it still works.

Modeling progress

Image
So I now have a small army of models each that are different from the other. to be able to create more models I also used the Blend shapes option to help me. Not sure if I need to create any more at this point, but I need to start skinning and rigging the model its self.

Here are some renders of the original edited model

More to come!!
