Plot ideas @Phil

So after receiving my feed back from my ogr, I've just got to work on my story some more and make it more fantastical. so i have been thinking of a few ideas and this is what has com up so far:

Deep sea Fisherman falls in to the sea during a trip, and finds a city beneath the waves. But will he stay During a fishing trip, the deep sea fisherman boat sinks and all he is left with is a small rowing boat and a ladder. Alone for days he finally comes across a train station in the middle of the seaWhile fishing with his father, both are deep sea fisher men, son falls over board during a storm. and all that keeps him afloat. after the storm passes and he has been floating for hours, he come across a whale station. and travels the sea on a whale to find his way home
So I'm really liking the 3rd idea, still needs some work though

Character Drawing

Image
So I've just had my first class with Justin who comes in to help with character drawing and designing. and we looked how shapes can really change out characters look and feel.

Found this slightly challenging as i haven't drawn characters in a while so it took me a while to get back into it.

Life Drawing

Image
So these are some images I forgot to post before the new year from life drawing. I am really getting into using water colors with my work

Smell Animation

Image
So this is my so far finished animation for smell.

I chose the apple and cinnamon out of the fragrances we had. I chose this one as it was not too over powering and reminded me of Christmas time.

I feel like I could improve on this, but at the moment I'm over thinking it and making it hard for me to actually come up with ideas

Like for Like storyboard part 2

So this is my unfinished like for like storyboard in adobe premiere pro. Its still need some frames added and I would also like to put in the audio for the scene as well.

So this is my like for like storyboard, still have a few more frames to do. But of what I have done is now ready to be put into adobe premiere pro.

New Project: From Script To Screen

So along with our soundscape project, we are also been given another project which is more based on story telling.

We also had to pick out what would be in our story, a character, a place and a prop. The 3 things that I got were:
A Deep Sea Fisherman A Railway StationAnd A Ladder  So this is going to quite interesting with what i actually come up with.

Adobe Audition

So first session of adobe audition, i did have a little trouble with it. As it's a whole new program for me. So tried to create a dragon noise from a selection of animal noises.

This is my first attempt, so still a little work to do on it. but not to bad for a first try at using the program

Film Review: La Jetee 1962

Image
La Jetèe, a short film of which only lasts only 29 minutes was directed by Chris Marker, who is a
French writer, photographer, documentary film director, multimedia artist and film essayist. La Jetèe is made of a series of photographs that make a montage and a mans voice narrating the story over the photos. "Chris Marker was always the type of filmmaker whose work fell into the category of thoughtful and challenging, and by nature he was a much gifted storyteller." (Samuel, 2013) As Samuel explains that Makers was a gifted story teller, and I can see why. He used images and only a few sounds to create a story that pulls the audience in and is something that many have not seen before.
The photograph montage tells the story of a man in post-apocalyptic world who has chosen to under go a time travel experiment and explore one of his childhood memory's of a woman at the end of a pier.

The pictures themselves were black and white with a grainy texture to them, but by this ad…

New Project: Soundscapes

Image
